ONE NATION PROYECTO PARA AGUA POTABLE EN GAZA WATER PROJECT - NOV 2016

A medida que la crisis del agua se agrava en Gaza, nuestro equipo entregó agua limpia y fresca a las aldeas más necesitadas del norte de Gaza.

Sólo un 3 por ciento del agua de Gaza es apta para beber. La Autoridad Palestina del Agua y las Naciones Unidas han advertido que su acuífero subterráneo -de el cual el territorio depende casi totalmente, aparte de una pequeña cantidad de agua importada de Israel- podría estar completamente contaminado hacia fines de año. El agua de Gaza contiene una gran concentración de cloruro, mientras que la infiltración de aguas residuales no tratadas ha elevado los niveles de nitratos entre dos y ocho veces más de lo que recomienda la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

Nuestro equipo tiene como objetivo continuar entregando agua limpia y fresca a las zonas más necesitadas de Gaza.

As the water crisis deepens in Gaza, our team delivered fresh clean water to the most needy villages in North Gaza.

Only an estimated 3 percent of Gaza's water is suitable for drinking. The Palestinian Water Authority and the United Nations have warned that its underground water aquifer - upon which the territory is almost entirely reliant, apart from a small amount of water imported from Israel - may be completely contaminated by the end of the year. Gaza's water contains a large concentration of chloride, while infiltration of untreated sewage has raised the levels of nitrates to two to eight times higher than the World Health Organization recommends. 

Our team are aiming to continue to deliver fresh clean water to more needy areas in Gaza.
